RIGID PVC PRESSURE PIPES are principally intended for conveyance of alimentary liquids, drinking water, waste water and sewerage pressure. Their main uses for water, mains, urban water distribution systems, house water connections, land drainage and sewerage as well as electrical and telephone cabin ducts.
Like all other thermoplastics, PVC has a high
coefficient of thermal expansion (0.080mm./m/oC.). Allowance must be made
for this during installation above ground, where PVC is subject
to temperature changes. When there is an increase or decrease in temperature
after the pipes are installed, they either expand or contract. If in such
cases, both ends of the pipes are fixed, compressive stress or tensile
stress will eventually be produced. UPVC pipes will not support combustion, and
in the event of fire, flames are unable to travel on pipes.
In most grounds, which are porne to subsidence, the PVC pipe is the natural choice, because any sib-soil movement is taken up and there is no risk of beam stress, which might cause cracking or pipe fracture. This elasticity allow gentle changes of direction without using special bends, then lower coasts and more guaranty and giving a smoother flow.
The smooth inside surface of PVC pipes gives
excellent flow characteristics, minimizes flow loss, and stops the build-up
of deposits and corrosive scales. Furthermore, the bore of our PVC
pipe will remain constant over the passage of time and will not be gradually
reduced by a corrosive build-up. Obviously this will allow for the specification
of smaller bore pipe for a given rate of flow or, alternatively, a greater
flow through a given diameter. No corrosion factor need be taken into
consideration.
