CHARACTERISTICS AND GENERAL ADVANTAGES

GENERAL EXPANSION

Like all other thermoplastics, “PVC” has a high coefficient of thermal expansion (0.080mm./m/oC.). Allowance must be made for this during installation above ground, where “PVC” is subject to temperature changes. When there is an increase or decrease in temperature after the pipes are installed, they either expand or contract. If in such cases, both ends of the pipes are fixed, compressive stress or tensile stress will eventually be produced.
Only one anchoring point should be used when attaching pipe to fixed equipment, and the pipe shouldn’t be fixed too firmly to any supports. Double socket joints or flexible couplings should be used where necessary.

FIRE PROOFNESS.

“UPVC” pipes will not support combustion, and in the event of fire, flames are unable to travel on pipes.
OUTDOORS WEATHERING.
Our “UPVC” PRESSURE PIPES are manufactured according to a formula, especially developed to withstand severe climatic conditions. Our pipes have excellent outdoor weather performance {resisting to (UV) upon request}.

ELASTICITY

In most grounds, which are porne to subsidence, the “PVC” pipe is the natural choice, because any sib-soil movement is taken up and there is no risk of beam stress, which might cause cracking or pipe fracture. This elasticity allow gentle changes of direction without using special bends, then lower coasts and more guaranty and giving a smoother flow.

SMOOTH BORE

The smooth inside surface of “PVC” pipes gives excellent flow characteristics, minimizes flow loss, and stops the build-up of deposits and corrosive scales. Furthermore, the bore of our “PVC” pipe will remain constant over the passage of time and will not be gradually reduced by a corrosive build-up. Obviously this will allow for the specification of smaller bore pipe for a given rate of flow or, alternatively, a greater flow through a given diameter. No corrosion factor need be taken into consideration.
Some important advantages of “PVC” PRESSURE PIPES are classified below to show at a glance how their use can lead to substantial savings in costs.

IN INSTALLATION:

- Light weight and easy handling.
- Low transportation cost.
- Easy and speed in laying.
- Easy cutting and drilling.
- Impervious and lasting.
- Long lengths, 6 meters (longer upon requested).
- Reduce laying and jointing costs.
- Convenient for use below and above ground.
- Flexibility of joints allows for a slight deviation of pipes.

IN OPERATION:
- Smooth bore permits low frictional losses.
- Resistance to both internal and external corrosion.
- High insulating qualities.
- Constant conveyance capacity. No corrosion factor needs to be taken into consideration.
- Tight and perfect waterproof joints and ability to use different adhesive materials.
- Lower pumping costs.

IN MAITINANCE:

- Does not deteriorate with age.
- Withstands temperature changes.
- Resistance to sunlight and frost damage.
- Impervious to chemical attack from either aggressive soils or water and not subject to rodent attack.
- Ability to withstand external harmful forces.
